I personally want to thank John Andersen for being forward thinking enough to seek information from the California Department of Education (CDE) using an attorney.
Maybe instead of Betsy Connolly complaining about the hundreds of pages of government documents in response to the records search, she should calm down and discuss the merits of the public records request with Mr. Andersen and the rest of the school board. It in in the interests of Conejo Valley voters to know this information. I myself would like to see all the CDE correspondence preceding the removal of the annotation. If our school district was the impetus for the annotation’s removal I want to know. The TO Acorn article states that the CDE spokesperson told them the language removal was part of a regular review process. But the Acorn article goes on to state that the information provided as a result of the records requests seems to suggest otherwise. Thank you, Mr. Andersen, for digging deeper.
And thank you Sandee Everett and Mike Dunn. You all have my full support.
