(Thousand Oaks, CA) The wins continued to roll in as the Cal Lutheran Regals kicked off spring break with a tight 5-4 victory over the Trinity (Conn.) Bantams.

However, with things heating up, the Regals locked down singles play and took three of the five matches to clinch the Friday afternoon victory. Nabbing wins, Seeman won on court two 6-4, 4-6, 10-4; Kurdys took court three 6-2, 6-3; and Alvarez claimed court four 6-1,6-2. At the No. 1 spot, Peters-Semak fell 1-6, 2-6, and Groff Hinojosa fell at the No. 6 spot 5-7, 6-4, 8-10.
“Everyone competed so well, but the highlight of the match was the clinch at number two singles by senior Sarah Seeman in a close 3-setter,” said head coach Mike Gennette.
“Well, it was exciting. It was a grind,” said Seeman, “Having my whole team cheer for me on the sides was exhilarating. It was heartwarming to have them with me during the battle. It was nice to have this team and individual result as a senior. It was the culmination of lots of hard work.”
