
(Camarillo, Ca) Ventura County Animal Services has announced its “Clear the Shelters” pet adoption event taking place on Saturday, August 18, 2018, at both animal shelters in Camarillo (600 Aviation Drive) and Simi Valley, (670 W. Los Angeles Avenue), from 10:00am to 6:00pm. With only a small pet license fee your newest family member is awaiting you at a local shelter.
Future pet owners can choose from over 500 companion pets including, dogs, cats, rabbits, reptiles, livestock and much more and will receive the following perks:
- All pet adoption fees will be waived;
- Dog and cat adoptions include vaccinations, microchip implant (with FREE lifetime registration) spay/neuter surgery, flea treatment, a free vet visit and much more.
- Trained VCAS Adoption Counselors will be on-site to answer questions and help with the adoption process.
“This event couldn’t happen at a better time,” says Tara Diller, Director of Ventura County Animal Services. ”VCAS is bursting at the seams with hundreds of amazing pets, waiting to join your families.
As the largest open- admission shelter in Ventura County, with 34 new arrivals daily, shelters fill up quickly. This is the opportunity to stop by your local shelter to save-a-life. VCAS will have food trucks and dog enrichment demos to share with pet lovers. This event coincides with the Camarillo Air Show so lucky shelter-goers will get a free air show from the shelter campus!
Adopters will receive gifts and services valued at over $1,000.
