Local Victory Automotive Group Buys Robertson Honda of Hollywood

Robertson Honda to become Ocean Honda

(Hollywood, Ca) Robertson Honda of North Hollywood has announced its sales to Victory Automotive Group (“Victory”) owners of Ocean Honda of Ventura.

“I am proud to have served the Hollywood area for so many years.  I will miss our customers and our associates but we know they are all in good hands with Victory,” said Robert Robertson.  “I also want to thank the team at Haig Partners.  They understood the opportunities and challenges of my dealership.  I asked them to run a very broad process and they went all out to find the best buyer and provided great advice and ideas throughout the process.  I am very pleased they were on my team.”

Eric Cappo of Victory stated, “It was a privilege to purchase Robertson Honda. Robert Robertson is a total class act. The dealership – team, facility, customer-focused mentality – is a perfect addition to the Victory Automotive Group family as we share so many core values and are incredibly likeminded.”

Alan Haig and Mike Toth of Haig Partners were the financial advisors to Mr. Robertson.  Jonathan Forgy of DHG provided accounting advice and Bruce Bercovich of Kay & Merkle, LLP served as legal counsel for Mr. Robertson.

“Robertson Honda of North Hollywood has been family owned and operated for nearly 50 years so it was critical to find the right buyer that would maintain the same levels of both customer and employee care,” said Mike Toth.  “Victory has a long track record of success and I’m confident they will do well here in one of the largest Honda markets in the country.  It was an honor to represent and become friends with Robert and help him achieve his objectives.”

Alan Haig said, “We continue to see strong interest for dealerships from buyers, both public and private.  There are more stores on the market than in the past, so good brands and locations are important.  Robert challenged us to run a unique process that ultimately led us to the Victory Automotive Group.  They have been an excellent partner in the transaction and we wish them much success in the future.”

Founded in 1997, Victory Automotive Group has grown to 41 automotive dealerships in ten states.  Local Victory Automotive Group dealerships include: Ocean Honda of Ventura, Ocean Honda of Whittier, Toyota of Whittier, Ocean Subaru of Fullerton and Ocean Honda of San Juan Capistrano. Robertson Honda of North Hollywood will be re-named Ocean Honda of North Hollywood.
