(Valencia, Ca) For the first time in nearly two decades, Oxnard High School has advanced to the CIF-SS Division 6 semifinals.
The yellowjackets defeated the West Ranch Warriors 34-31 with an interception thrown by West Ranch quarterback Weston Eget, which was returned for a touchdown to put Oxnard up 34-24 in the fourth quarter.
Oxnard had two touchdowns scored by their defense, one on a blocked punt recovered in the end zone early in the third quarter, and another on an 80-yard interception return from junior safety RJ Aranda.
