(Thousand Oaks, Ca) The Thousand Oaks Planning commission will be hearing proposals at 6pm this evening for the property located between Boardwalk Avenue and Hodencamp Road on Thousand Oaks Boulevard to be converted in 142 apartments along with commercial spaces, together called a “mixed use space.”
The applicant is the Latigo Group LLC.
Commissioners will vote whether to recommend plans for the development at 299 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd. The final vote would be brought before the City Council, which gave the project its pre-approval in October 2017.
The Thousand Oaks Boulevard Association (TOBA) has also endorsed the project.
The hearing information states the following:
“Request: To allow construction of 3 and 4-story residential/commercial mixed-use project including 142 residential apartment units (including 11 very low income units with a 35% density bonus) and retail uses, including on-site sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages. To allow removal of 12 oak and 11 landmark trees, encroach into the protected zones of 30 oak and 8 landmark trees, and pruning of 18 oak and 4 landmark trees.”
