Voter Registration is Up in Ventura County for Election 2018

(Ventura County, Ca) According to the California Secretary of State’s Office, a record number of Californians are set to head to the polls on November 6, with nearly 19.7 million registered or just over 78% of eligible voters.

Ventura County voter registration is up from the Presidential election of November 2016 by over 5,000 voters and by more than 14,000 voters since the primary election in June 2018.

However, the June primary saw just 39% voter turnout while the 2018 general election had an 82% voter turnout, or more than double that of the primary earlier this year.

Ventura County voters grew by 14,678 voters as of October 22, 2018 with the majority (12,133) registering as Non Party Preference.

But what will voter turnout be for Ventura County? Is voter enthusiasm high enough for record turnout? Stay tuned this time tomorrow as we broadcast live with election results.
